around in their yard and using their garden as a litter box. And there are children and adults who dislike cats and will not think twice about injur-
ing or poisoning your cat.
Outdoor cats have a much shorter life span than those who are kept indoors. Indoor-only cats live an average of ten to fourteen years, while indoor-outdoor cats live approximately four years, on average. And
indoor cats, when provided with proper environmental enrichment, are
very happy and well adjusted.
